Ten companies across Coventry and Warwickshire are to receive £4.8 million from a national funding initiative which will create more than 1,000 jobs and lead to nearly £42 million being invested in the sub-region. A major new plan to create jobs and economic growth has been massively oversubscribed by businesses, local authorities and universities in Coventry and Warwickshire. CW LEP is seeking expressions of interest from businesses or local authorities with proposals for using Growing Places funding to create jobs and economic growth in Coventry and Warwickshire. The types of proposals that could be supported include: Capital funding for new premises or expansion of existing premises and infrastructure that leads to the creation of new jobs Capital funding for new equipment, products or processes that lead to the creation of new jobs Capital funding for Research and Development activities that lead to the creation of new jobs Proposals may also include requests for funding for up to 50% towards the costs of planning applications that lead to the creation of new jobs.… Read more
