Karl Eddy is head of Grant Thornton's Government Infrastructure Advisory team where he leads a team of 110 professional staff specialising in financing large capital projects focusing on urban regeneration and infrastructure. 

He trained as a chartered surveyor with Drivers Jonas, and joined KPMG in 1996 and led its national economic development team. 

He has spent his career working in economic development focusing on the practical delivery of large urban regeneration programmes – everything from the regeneration of Whitehaven Harbour in Cumbria to the development of the business plans for Olympic Park.

Most recently he has supported Qatar on its successful 2022 World Cup bid.

Eddy has lived in Warwickshire for 15 years and is a mentor to young entrepreneurs.
