In 2018 the WMCA Leadership Commission published ‘Leaders like you’, a report outlining the diversity of a region that is in the process of rapid economic, technological, social, environmental and cultural change. Yet one that lacks diversity in leadership positions. Diversity of thought is recognised as a critical factor in remaining competitive through innovation and creativity in a fast moving environment.
Through this forum we want to bring leaders in the region together to help shape the talent pool by developing cultures that recognise, welcome and nurture diversity in their people.
We will be holding a series of forums aimed at leaders in industry, business and public service who want to learn, share and shape the dialogue in their organisations and in the region to develop and nurture a workforce by building inclusive cultures and employer brand.
Professor Binna Kandola, a Business Psychologist, will be speaking at our opening session on November 27 betwen 12pm and 2pm, at Argent Court, University of Warwick. Professor Kandola, author of several leading books on diversity, inclusion and leadership, works globally with public and private sector clients.
Professor Kandola, will be talking to about “The challenges that leaders face in implementing diversity and inclusion and what the key success factors are”.
