Section 151/73 Assurance Statement

The CWLEP Board has appointed Coventry City Council (CCC) to act as the Accountable Body for the LEP in 2013. The primary role is to hold the Local Growth Fund, and other CWLEP funding sources making payments to the appropriate delivery bodies for individual projects.

Games Industry in Coventry and Warwickshire

Ukie and Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) have come together to create a new three-year strategic plan that will support and grow the games industry in the West Midlands.

Growth Deal

The Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Deal, subject to a satisfactory conclusion of the funding agreement, will support the local area’s aspirations to build on its advanced manufacturing and engineering strengths.

Growth Deal 3: CWLEP Proposals

On 28 July 2016, the CWLEP submitted a bid to Government for £150m of funding from Growth Deal 3. The funding is to support delivery of the CWLEP’s Strategic Economic Plan (SEP), investment which will enable Coventry and Warwickshire to achieve its potential.

Industrial Strategy Green Paper Response

The CWLEP welcomes the development of a national Industrial Strategy as the critical framework for shaping long-term national economic policy and associated funding streams.

The Skills Strategy has identified three priorities for Coventry and Warwickshire – using skills to drive growth and create jobs, developing skills to tackle unemployment and ensuring a better fit between education and employment

Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) 2014

Coventry and Warwickshire's Strategic Economic Plan was published on 31st March 2014 and sets out the overall, long term strategic vision for the area.

Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) 2016

This updated SEP has been developed to reflect on progress since 2014, provide the tools to further stimulate growth, and a pipeline of projects and schemes across the region that will enable this growth.

West Midlands Local Industrial Strategy 2019

The Local Industrial Strategy for the West Midlands builds on the heritage of the region’s manufacturing, research and technology sectors. It sets out how the West Midlands will take advantage of the incredible skills, infrastructure and innovation of our region.
