Companies of all sizes in all sectors have been urged to take advantage of the business facilities at the new Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) has established the Growth Hub – a Clearing House for business – at Cheylesmore House in Cheylesmore, Coventry.

Partners involved include the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, UKTI, Local Authorities across the sub-region, Coventry University, the University of Warwick and the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS).

Staff from six banks have already established themselves at the Growth Hub with ‘hot desks’ to take advantage of its wireless network, meeting rooms and to build relationships with its account managers.

Craig Humphrey, managing director of the Growth Hub, told the Access to Finance Business Group meeting of the CWLEP that he was keen for companies from all sectors to use its facilities when they had business to conduct in the area.

“I would like companies who meet with other businesses on a regular basis to use Cheylesmore House as a base when they have meetings in the sub-region,” he said.

“We are creating conference space and a boardroom for up to 30 people and we have plenty of parking spaces as well as being close to the train station.

“It is also a great opportunity to build relationships with our account managers who are dealing with inward investment enquiries.

“We want to encourage all businesses whether they are an SME or global company as well as CWLEP’s partners to use our flexible office space to ‘hot desk’ at Cheylesmore House to come in and use the space available.

“This opportunity is available to businesses in all sectors not just advanced manufacturing and engineering because we are here to provide advice and information to help companies prosper to encourage growth corridors across Coventry and Warwickshire.

“We are here to engage with companies to grow their business base in the area which will lead to the creation of jobs and boosting economic prosperity.”
