There is just one week remaining for businesses to submit applications to run events in the 2019 Coventry & Warwickshire Business Festival before the deadline of 5pm on 9 September.
This year’s Business Festival, headlined by Inspire Insurance, is taking place from 11-21 November. Already the programme is very busy with some outstanding events from how to manufacture products for the first time and protecting your business against cyber threats to massively growing your business by using LinkedIn and finance for non-finance managers – all of which are incredibly useful for businesses and individuals in the region.
Applications to run an event are still being taken for a few more days and anyone can apply. Events can be about any business subject and in any sector. It costs nothing to run an event, but ideally they should all be free to attend so they benefit other businesses in the Coventry and Warwickshire area.
Events that are topical or of national significance such as high level debates featuring key figureheads, or national conferences held in the region and therefore showcasing Coventry & Warwickshire, are also welcome.
The Business Festival was developed by the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) and the CWLEP Growth Hub three years ago.
Craig Humphrey, managing director of the CWLEP Growth Hub), said, “Now three years in, the Business Festival is embedded in our annual calendar. Each year we have around 100 events and attract in the order of 5,000 attendees to our festival fortnight - and this year promises to be no exception. Already the programme is outstanding with a great combination of high-profile, nationally significant events mixed with many really solid, business support events that address common challenges and themes amongst SMEs in particular.
"There’s just one week left to submit event applications and I urge all organisations to make the most of this opportunity to be part of the biggest business event in the region.”
Alongside Inspire Insurance, the Business Festival is supported by partners, Coventry University and Coventry University Enterprises and sponsors, the FSB. It is also supported by the Deeley Group, Coventry City Council, Warwickshire County Council and the district/borough councils of Nuneaton & Bedworth, Warwick, Rugby, North Warwickshire and Stratford on Avon.
