Further Education Productivity & Skills Executive
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Coventry & Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP) Executive in the role of Productivity & Skills Executive Officer.

You will be working within the CWLEP Productivity & Skills Business Group to ensure the full involvement of colleges in shaping and delivering the skills strategy from an FE perspective. This will include ensuring colleges are kept informed of emerging initiatives and developments in order that strategy is informed by key stakeholders always as well as maintaining oversight of the LEP’s skills actions and keeping abreast of national/regional skills policy.
You will be required to drive the labour mobility and educational performance strand of the Emerging Local Industrial Strategy as well as work with partners to implement enterprise activity throughout the region to support the increase of new businesses start-ups and levels of self-employment. You should also possess a broad understanding of a wider skills system and policy landscape.
This is a challenging role for an enthusiastic and driven professional who will essentially be the ‘Further Education go to person’ within the CWLEP ensuring the implementation and delivery of key LEP projects. You should possess a sound knowledge of the FE Sector, funding and qualifications, and skills policy and have demonstrable leadership skills in performance and change. Additionally, you will have strong experience of developing networks and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The post holder will communicate on an on-going basis with the 6 colleges within the Coventry & Warwickshire Region and attend meetings with the colleges as required some of which might be held out of normal office hours.
The post does not have any direct reports to manage but will report to the CWLEP Operations Director. The postholder will also closely work with the Enterprise Co-ordinator in Coventry working on the careers and enterprise initiative www.careersandenterprise.co.uk
This is a full-time role based predominately at The Old Clink, Warwick CV34 4SJ but also with regular working out of the CWLEP Growth Hub Enterprise Centre, Coventry University Technology Park, Puma Way, Coventry CV1 2TT.
Salary circa £50k
