Collaborate To Train
Leading organisations from across Coventry and Warwickshire have joined together to support local businesses across the region. The “Collaborate to Train” project is supported by the European Social Fund and aims to improve the ways in which education providers, local authorities and other stakeholders work together with businesses to provide high quality and effective education and training services in a more collaborative, user-led way.
Collaborate To Train will be delivered through a consortium of the major stakeholders in education, training and business engagement including
- Warwickshire College Group
- Coventry College
- University of Warwick
- Coventry City Council
- North Warwickshire & Hinckley College

We aim to engage with local SMEs to support them to increase their involvement with education and employment services across 5 pilot areas:
- Piot 1: Work Experience Placements
- Pilot 2: Supported Internships
- Pilot 3: Apprenticeships
- Pilot 4: School engagement activities
- Pilot 5: Innovative models. We will also look at new ways of working and innovative models, to facilitate easier collaboration and networking across the project. We would like to incorporate more employer consultation into our processes and involve businesses in the design and development of future and current services.
Collaborate to Train will work across the whole Coventry and Warwickshire LEP area. The project aims to facilitate long lasting change within the education and training system of Coventry and Warwickshire, ensuring that activities are:
- Fit for purpose
- Business led
