This project has turned a vacant, redundant council building located in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon to create a ‘state of the art’ facility for new micro business start-ups. The premises known as Venture House is a centre for business incubation, growth, innovation, training, conferencing and meeting. The key outcomes of the project are:
- Refurbishment of 244m² vacant property
- Support for individuals looking to start and grow a business through capability building.
- Signpost to general business coaching support to SMEs that have identifiable growth plans.
- Efficient local referral routes to public and private suppliers of business support services including knowledge transfer and innovation.
- Directly linking growing businesses to the employment support services e.g. apprenticeships offered by Coventry & Warwickshire LEP partners.
- Growth Hub through the creation of a ‘hub and spoke’ model.
- Enable around 23 business start-ups and growing small businesses to locate in the building (over 5 years).
- Provide meeting and training facilities
